Local elections 2026 – Cricket Green questions for candidates

Three ward councillors will represent Cricket Green following the Local Elections on 7th May.

As the local civic society we have asked 12 questions about key local issues of all 14 candidates from the five political parties standing in Cricket Green ward. The questions cover issues including the future of the Burn Bullock and the cricket pavilion, heavy lorries on Church Road, protecting green spaces and the future of Mitcham Village. Candidates have also been asked about how they will protect the Conservation Area and ensure swift action on fly tips and planning breaches. We have asked all the candidates to share their favourite place in Cricket Green.

We’ve compiled their words – unedited – into a single document – read it here.
